From IGN's red Plan de Ville series comes this superb town map of Lyon at 1:13 000. The map features very clear street detail, with all the roads named and an indication of street numbers. Toll gates, one way streets and pedestrian streets/restricted rights of way are also marked.
Public transport routes and stations are shown, important or interesting buildings are named and a range of symbols mark out the locations of churches, mosques, markets, tourist offices, post offices, car parks and hospitals on the map.
The map comes in a cardboard sleeve with an inset in the foldout cover which has an enlargement of the city centre at 1:8 500 giving a much clearer view of the buildings and tourist sights concentrated in that area. Another inset on the cover shows the Lyon Metro, Tramway and Trolleybus networks.
An extensive index of streets and every conceivable building, facility and amenity is in a 48 page booklet attached to the cover. The legend is in French, English and German.
