  2. Africa East and Central - Kelet- és Közép-Afrika térkép

Africa East and Central - Kelet- és Közép-Afrika térkép

Méretarány 1 : 3 400 000 This is the latest map from our growing digital data base on Africa. One side of this map concentrates on the five countries of what is generally known as East Africa - Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, with bits of neighboring countries thrown in. The second side covers what has always been called Central Africa, probably because it was once British Central Africa. This is Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Malawi, with the northern half of Mozambique and the Okavango delta included, as well as a bit of DEM Congo. The map covers a vast portion of the African continent and includes a diverse ethnic and geographic reality. WE have tried to categorize roads by condition, but the reality of Africa is that some main roads are in pretty poor condition. Some secondary roads are not shown as being as good as they probably are, but verifying data for Africa is difficult. This is our first map of this part of the world based on GIS Data. As such, it is much more precisely accurate than anything done to date. Africa is still a "work in progress" but this map opens it for exploration by visitors. További információk

  3. Rwanda (Ruanda) & Burundi térkép

    Rwanda (Ruanda) & Burundi térkép

Rwanda is the other side of the piece of paper for Burundi and is as different a country as two neighbours could hope to be. The country went through a terrible civil insurrection a few years ago, and the scars of that time will take many more years to heal. The country is lovely to see, with picturesque Kibuye nestled into a cove along beautiful Lake Kivu and town with exotically enticing names such as Gitarama and Butare. This part of Africa is not changing rapidly, so is still relatively unspoiled by modernization. This is the beating heart of Central Africa. Burundi, in itself, is not an 'important' country in Africa, but its central location makes it crucially important to events in surrounding countries that are much larger, such as Tanzania and Dem Congo. The capital, based at the northern end of Lake Tanganyika, is a sleepy town that offers travellers all the 'mod-cons' - hotels, shops, an airport, several embassies. The countryside is dotted with quaint villages where life carries on much as it has for centuries. This is our fifth edition of Burundi; hard to believe, but that means 25,000 copies so far. - See more at: https://www.maptogo.fr/en/rwanda/3117-rwanda-burundi-road-map-at-1300-000-itmb-publishing-9781771296649.html#sthash.jBpuOQ5K.dpuf További információk

  5. Africa Overland Travel Atlas: Cairo to Cape Town - Afrikán át: Kairótól Fokvárosig autóatlasz

Africa Overland Travel Atlas: Cairo to Cape Town - Afrikán át: Kairótól Fokvárosig autóatlasz

Méretarány 1 : 3 400 000 There are three possible routes to traverse Africa top to bottom. From the east, the only route is via Egypt and Sudan to Ethiopia and East Africa. The route through Algeria, known as the Hoggar (or Haager) route is next, with the route through Morocco to West Africa third. Traversing Africa is one of the great adventure trips in the world. I did it in 1969/70 in an epic journey that look a year and proved to be one of those fundamental acts shaping one's life. None of the routes are completely safe. That applied in the 1960s and it applies equally now, but life consists of determining acceptable risks and doing one's best not to be hit by a Number 10 bus by liking the wrong way when crossing a London Street. This atlas portrays the eastern route from Cairo to Cape Town over a hundred pages of maps. It covers 14 countries and gives advice on particularly sensitive travel areas, such as between Egypt and Sudan. We do not shown only one recommended route, as there are alternatives once one reaches Kenya, but all are shown. The great advantage of this book is that it is compact and easy to carry, as well as being as accurate as we could make it. További információk
